So...we found out on Monday, Sept. 24th (exactly 7 years from Jesse & my first date!) that we are PREGNANT! It was truly a shock as this was only our 2nd month trying!! We actually had to take 4 tests to make sure it was REAL!! We can hardly believe that our dream for kids is finally here. We are sooooo excited and everything just feels so surreal! Due Date: June 4, 2008. The funny thing is I am supposed to be in my girlfriends wedding on June 7, 2008...so not sure how this is all going to pan out, but that will just work itself out! First to learn about the exciting news was of course my parents...we called my Grandma up and asked her if she would put together a fun suprise for my parents, of course she wanted to know what was going on and she asked with an obvious HUGE GRIN on her face! We mailed a card to her to give to my parents and then she arrived with her picnic basket, flowers, wine, card and best of all her classic smile & charisma! She told my parents and they were SHOCKED! Which is what we wanted, so we were stoked! As my Mom is truly my best girlfriend, aside from my Grandma and my Sister - they all tie!, I completely had to avoid talking to her prior to this celebration as she knew we had been trying and knew about when we would find out...she knows how emotional I got last month when I got the bummer NEGATIVE, so she was trying to stay mediocre to not get her hopes killed as well. Well, Mom & Dad called us with the MOST EXCITEMENT I think I've ever heard from them!! It was so special, if only we could've given each other a HUGE SQUEEZE! We both chatted with them and shared our excitement! This is going to be my family's FIRST GRANDBABY & FIRST GREAT GRAND BABY!! Next one up...Patrick & Brittany. We called Britt first as she has been in tune with what's been going on - and she was exstatic! She was on her way to a 'free dinner' with a date and she ended up making him wait to chat with us! She is super excited to be a REAL Auntie B, rather than to just animals :) It was great. Patrick was excited as well, however he predicted it ~ so that was cute :) We shared our news with my in-laws that weekend and they were very excited. Our close friends know about our news, along with our investment broker, our bankers, my office, etc...this is physically impossible for me to keep quiet ~ this is truly a DREAM COME TRUE! This Sunday I leave for our annual Carmel trip with my favorite ladies - Grandma, Mom & Sis...so this will be a great week of continuing to celebrate and go BABY shopping!!! :) P.S. We are not going to find out the sex of the baby ~ we have always said we want that to be a SUPRISE :)
