Week 6
Our pride & joy is the size of a lentil bean; 1/4 of an inch long
Wednesday October 10th we had our first BABY appointment! Thankfully Jesse was able to attend, which was so neat for him to feel more a part of this. For the women, we feel our bodies changing - our boobs hurt, being emotional, being abnormally tired and getting nauseous on an empty tummy...but for the hubby's they don't get to 'feel' any of this. Jess has been cute asking me tons of questions about what I feel like and I know it's hard since he can't truly experience this yet so getting to go to the doc was fun! First, we met with the health nutritionist at the doc's office and she was great teaching and educating us on what to eat, what not to eat, things to expect in the next few weeks, etc. She was great! Then we met with the doc and he was able to tell that the uterus is definitely growing!! It was so cool. Our next appointment is Nov. 12 and we'll get to hear the heart beat! After leaving there we got the privilege of getting my blood drawn and peeing in a cup - of course this is the stuff you dread. I HATE getting my blood drawn, so having my wonderful hubby by side made it that much easier for me. I feel so very blessed to get to experience this as a woman. We have several friends that are unable to naturally get pregnant and it's my hearts prayer that someday they too can experience this miracle of life.
