Our precious lil baby has finally arrived and we are so in love with this little guy!
After being 9 days OVERDUE...here is the long awaited birth story for sweet Braden Steven Moore ~ I had had contractions consistently 5 min apart all day Tuesday, however I just didn't get my hopes up as this has happened (as we all know) multiple times before. Around 7:45pm that evening they were getting a little bit more intense, but nothing to call doc about...we went on our evening walk and they stayed consistent, but didn't seem to pick up. Around 10pm they really started to get more intense so we were going to try to catch get some shut eye, but I just couldn't sleep as they were a bit painful, so I showeread & cleaned house!...11pm called the doc as they were super intense ~ he called the hospital etc, however we let him know we were going to labor at home until the pain got too intense. Contractions got to the point where I could barely talk to my hubby so we left home at 12:24am (to be exact!) to head to the hospital, which by the way was the most uncomfortable car ride in my entire life! My poor hubby got chastised for every bump he hit! So to get to the exciting part
...when we got to the hospital at 1am I was dilated to 2cm - they admitted us as my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart at this point...by 5:30am I was dilated to 5cm, by 7am I was 8cm and by 8:30 I was at 10cm...started pushing (wanted to when I was at about 9cm, but had to wait - that is TORTURE!), after 3 hours of pushing with no meds our sweet baby BOY was born at 8lbs, 1oz & 20in long and was absolutely PERFECT! He is the most beautiful lil thing we have ever seen (we're a bit biased I guess) and he is a natural at nursing. He LOVES to eat! We got to have our doc deliver him which we were sooooo thankful for!! My husband was AMAZING, I could not have made it through naturally without his support and encouragement, my sister was in the room for the pushing & delivery as was my Mom and they were both amazing!!! My sis video taped the delivery and my Mom got some amazing photographs of our the birth of our lil BOY! We got home Friday and everything has been great, we're getting used to our new life and are enjoying every minute of it. Please check back often for pics. We are so thankful for this lil man and thank you all for your prayers & support...they were definitely answered! It was so amazing and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the entire world!!We thank you for all your thoughts & prayers!
