How is it really possible that our little Braden is already 4 weeks old? I tear up at just the thought. I know, I know, pathetic, but I just cannot get over how fast time truly is flying by! This past week I feel like our little man grew up just way too quickly. Jesse even mentioned how we won't be able to say to people "Braden is __ weeks old", but rather "Braden is __ months old" - that makes me so sad, I told Jess that I'm still going to use weeks, people will just have to do the math! Ha!
He had his 2nd pediatrician appointment and he weighed in at 10lbs, 8oz...this boy is definitely not missing a meal! He is in the 81% percentile for his weight! Way to go Braden! We introduced the pacifier to him a few nights back (he was 23 days old to be exact)...I actually felt like a terrible mother giving him a paci, I felt like I was almost pawning him off to something other than what maybe he really needed. He didn't take to it at first, but after a little persistence on our end he did OK with it, at least for a little bit - but then it just came down to him wanting to EAT, imagine that! We also introduced a bottle to him for the first time this past Monday evening (26 days old...to be exact) and he seemed to do well with it. I produce quite a bit of milk so we are pumping so that Daddy can have some bonding time with his little guy about once a week for now for feedings. Braden also got a day of shopping in with his Mommy & Grandma. He did a GREAT job! He of course still wanted his meals, but other than that he was a happy camper shopping in downtown SLO. If he is going to have any of my genes then he needs to learn how to shop! That is just a necessity :)
