updates on the lil man
this past Tuesday evening was Braden's first night to sleep in his crib...I was not worried about him adjusting, I know he would do fine and will enjoy having the extra room to move around...me on other hand was so sad to not have him in our room any longer. Jesse has always left it up to me on when we would put Braden in his own room...so I had tentatively thought we would aim for after the new year; well that was before I realized just how quickly our little weed was growing! it was getting to a point at night where he would have his legs propped up along the sides of his cradle, which in turn would end up waking himself up. I soon decided this just was no longer fair to him to not be comfortable and to not be able to spread out and roll around if he would like to! I soon realized after putting him in his room at how quickly a slew of emotions hit me...it was as though I was on an emotional roller coaster that I had no control over. I've heard that it can be emotional when Mommies decide to put their infants in their own room and also when they decide to ween them from nursing...so I was prepared and thought it would be hard those first few nights. well, my poor hubby ended up with a handful of a wife for a few days there! Jesse & I finally had a date night this past Friday evening ~ all we did was go get ice cream at Coldstones and parked ourselves on a bench and just caught up. it was just awesome and just what we needed! it's amazing how you can live in the same household as someone and loose track of each others lives in what feels like the blink of an eye. how your children are your complete focus and you quickly loose that catching up time with one another. it was LONG overdue!
some other random updates:
our lil man makes very distinct "babbling" sounds now continually! he LOVES to just babble and babble ~ not sure where he learned that from :) it is a guarantee that he can bring a HUGE SMILE to just about anyone's face. he LOVES his puppy dog and within the last few weeks has been learning how to "play" with him...it basically consists of Kona licking him to death & Braden laughing his head off! I have some great video footage I will post shortly. as of recent we find ourselves loving a local park ~ obviously this is more for me than for Braden, but we have a nice time none the less. this little boy just LOVES to be outside and he also loves to shop...I guess he doesn't have much say in the matter for that. he also loves to look at his books, in fact he has just recently learned how to turn the pages on his own! that truly amazed me when he did that!
we had fun this past weekend at a fun pumpkin carving gathering with some friends we are just getting to know up here above the grade. it's amazing how everyone's little ones are already walking all around & one even helped carve a pumpkin! I think his actually came out better than any of us adults carving them! it was a great, relaxing evening.
alright, I'll stop writing as I just realized I've written a book! it's so much easier to do multiple posts rather than one big one! haha...and sorry I slacked on pics with this one! next time!
