This boy LOVES to stand up...he has yet to crawl FORWARDS, although he has MASTERED crawling backwards and in circles - he can get himself where he wants!...he insists on doing push ups and try to pull himself up onto everything!! ...guess I should start actually baby-proofing now!
He says HIIIII-YAAAAA and waves - of course not on demand. He says DAAA-DAAAA and when Jess is getting home from work I will say Da-Da's home, and he looks immediately towards our back door where Jess walks in; before he actually walks in...yes, probably more coincidence, but I like to think he knows what I'm saying :) A few weeks ago he finally started to say MAAAAA-MAAAAA; talk about an amazing moment! Over the weekend when a girlfriend of mine was holding him, Braden looked at her and then looked at me (with a melt down in the works and his arms opened wide towards me!!) and said "Maaaa-Maaaa"...she was shocked those words came out of his mouth! We both agreed that he knows who I am :)
Our Valentine gift to Braden was a Tug Boat full of awesome toys inside! It has a little fishing line that you can catch the fish that are included, there's a captain, stackable cups and just fun toys...Braden just LOVES this thing! The toy takes up the entire ducky tub! He CRIED SO HARD when Jess got him out of the bath to get dressed and ready for bed...he wanted to stay and play :) I just love this kiddo!
We've had interesting nap schedules lately with Braden...and he seems happiest to nap right here...yes, that is on our living room floor :)
On one last note, this boy loves MUSIC & loves to DANCE! I dance with him practically everday and when Jess was playing guitar with him over the weekend he said that Braden just started to dance all on his own (normally I say "dance, dance, dance" and we do it together)...but, he seems to have picked this up all on his own. What a stud. I will for sure post some good footage as soon as I can "capture" it :)
