9 Months Old

It is hard to believe that Braden has been out of my womb for the amount of time he was in my womb...truly feels surreal. He is such a joy! Since tax season has been upon us for almost 6 weeks now - it makes the season a bit easier having my little buddy with me; however, at the same time it is that much harder too because I am playing the "single mommy" role. He is such a great little boy. He is so full of life, love and happiness! I was sharing with Jesse at din-din over the weekend that just looking at Braden makes me smile and laugh and Jesse shared that when he's at work he will just start busting up laughing out of nowhere with a fun memory of Braden...it's so true, he is such a character and we are blessed to be his parents.

He is now crawling forwards and so that means he is EVERYWHERE! We are having to begin the whole baby-proofing thing. His favorite thing is to explore - he LOVES crawling around into all the different rooms in the house just to see what is there. He loves opening and closing the doors to play hide-and-seek...it is actually quite a kick to watch! He LOVES to crawl on the tile in front of our fireplace and I swear he loves hearing me be a broken record saying "no touch, no touch, no touch". He continues to pull himself up onto everything as well - in fact, yesterday he was trying the stairs. He LOVES his big boy bath - I let him hang out for about 45 minutes each night in it because he has so much fun. He is really beginning to love the different foods we are introducing - I think he is finally beginning to get the texture and taste differences. He still has silly faces when he eats - but I know it's more for show :) He also LOVES an audience when he's eating - and he will play with the food in those instances. Even if it's just Daddy around watching it is a completely different experience! Amazing how young these kids learn that the world really does revolve around them! Haha! When I'm cooking dinner he loves to play in the kitchen cupboards - he has his own now full of tupperware - it's fun watching him entertain himself with it. At times when I am done making dinner it really, truly looks like a bomb exploded both all over the counters and on the floor ~ I am just thankful when I get dinner cooked with a busy 9 month old! He LOVES to dance when music is on - or better yet, when Jesse whips out the guitar and jams for us. He has learned how to shake his head...we are still trying to figure out what he means by it, but he loves to do it and it is always with a killer smile! He just started saying Naaaa-Naaaaa and a few other jib-jab words. He still says Hiii-yyaaa, Da-da and Ma-ma all the time.

He hasn't had his 9 month check up yet...that will be in a few weeks. I am anxious to hear his stats - so I will be sure to keep you all posted.

Enjoy the fun video!! It's a little shorter than usual as I have many pics I have yet to upload.
