we got our tree last weekend! it was the most simple time finding one - we picked the 3rd tree we saw!! Jess was in utter SHOCK because I normally take forever to decide on one. if you see our tree you don't see a highly glamorous/all decked out tree - you see a tree full of stories. ever since I was a little girl my parents started the tradition of getting each of us kids an ornament (or 2 or 3) that represented that year; a trip, dance, etc. when I got married my Mom & Dad gave me all of "my" ornaments so that Jesse & I could carry on the tradition. our tree now if full of memories of our married life & now starting with Braden. it is SO MUCH FUN! we got Braden his ornament on the East Coast...a lobster - to help us remember our 1st family vacation to the east coast! Braden thinks it is hilarious to go & remove ornaments & then try to put them back up again...he also gets a kick out of shaking the tree as well as chasing Sawyer under the tree...we shall see how long the tree stands :)Jess put up our lights on the house the weekend following Thanksgiving - they look awesome, I have just yet to take a pic...and now it's raining :(
