Happy 2010!
We did absolutely NOTHING for NYE & it was awesome! we watched a Tigger movie with Braden & then when he went to bed we continued to watch it! it was GREAT! yes, we are **officially** old I suppose! I had been out late the night before with the girls...so being out late again sounded anything but fun to us! we all laughed how we would use to hang out til wee hours of the night for NY, but now that we have the kiddos it just is more fun to get up at a decent hour NY Day & do something as a family - a beach day is what we had & the weather was just breathtaking! ironic thing on the way home...well, we hit a deer. we were both beyond ticked that we hit it as we were thinking about the damage that could have possibly been done to our car!!!! well, besides a wrank (sp?) smell there was ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE done to our Honda - thank you Lord for protecting us!!! I was in the passengers seat up front turned around keeping Braden entertained & it was dark out - thankfully someone had already hit it (bittersweet), so it was on the ground already and by the time Jess saw it he knew all he could do was to drive over it and try to line it up so it goes directly under the car to not throw us out of control...well after a few thuds it caught my attention & I am beyond thankful for my hubby's quick reactions to this roadblock in his way. through this little "bummer" we have discovered many blessings from it - 1.) our car is perfectly fine, no damage (mechanic was blown away!) 2.) the way Jess drove over the deer thankfully didn't deploy the airbags, which prevented us having complications in our pregnancy with Tiny Tot 3.) our car didn't crash into anything which protected ALL OF US. thank you Jesus for protecting us!!!
