at the water park from open to close = TIRED LITTLE BOY!
Braden has been quite the character these days...any of you with a 2 year old can I'm sure relate! He is so witty and comes up with the most clever things...their little imaginations are beyond impressive!back in early July we put Braden's twin bed in his room and he has done awesome with the transition. we actually left the crib in his room just so he didn't feel like it was not his anymore, but he didn't seem to mind at all! he LOVED his new-found freedom! the first time we put him in it was nap time on a Monday afternoon and Jesse had taken the day off...and Braden heard Jesse out front and popped his little head out of the window and said "Hi Dada!!"...pretty classic. he does really well when he wakes up in the AM as well as nap time. he just says "HIIIII MAMA, HIIIII DADA!" and waits for us to get him. awesome job little man!
we've had a crazy busy summer packed full of fun things for the kiddos! we've attended numerous birthday parties, enjoyed the water park, petting zoo, camping in the backyard, lots of beach time...you get the idea. we've had so much fun!
Some funny things Braden has done:
when Braden first started putting sentences together it was one morning as Jesse was getting ready to head out the door and Braden looked up at me and said, "Dada go VROOM!"...I couldn't believe it! it was absolutely hilarious!
Elyse will start to spit up and Braden says "bup clot" and goes over to her pack 'n play to get one and brings it right over to her! best brother ever!
yes, my son enjoys watching So You Think You Can Dance with me and the other night he make-shifted a plastic storage container into a djembe and started "bollywooding"!!! it was the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen he was hilarious!!! we were stunned that he created a djembe, but then when he started imitating bollywood dancing he had Jesse & I in tears of laughter!!
our neighbors, who have become dear friends of ours have a little girl that is just a little younger than Braden and he calls her "Georgy" short for Georgianna and Braden just ADORES her!! they constantly go over and knock on each others doors while out front to see if the other is around to play! well, Braden now knows the sound of their car (it's a mini and has a very distinct sound) and anytime Braden hears it he says "Georgy Dada" "Georgy Dada". it's the cutest thing ever!! they also talk through our back gate and my girlfriend, Jenn, and I laugh saying it reminds us of Home Improvement where they talk through the fence!
since he was about 18 months old he has helped himself into the fridge to get his milk sippy - I keep it fully stocked just for my kiddo :) and within the last month or so he has gotten an interest in grabbing the gallon of milk and bringing it to us if he needs a "REFILL"! he has also gotten to the point of T A K I N G T H E L I D O F F!! character!
we are in the pool every day and sometimes twice a day...my kid is a fish just like his Mommy & Daddy! he has so much fun and we found this awesome swim vest where he can swim all around by himself and he absolutely LOVES it! we had a couple of close calls at some playgroups so it just wasn't worth the risk. he has done some private lessons and he is actually learning to swim! he is fearless in the water!
