Contractions, Contractions...well, I believe this lil one may in deed be earlier than originally thought! This past Friday my girlfriend was over and about 20 minutes after she left I started getting back-to-back contractions, 3 minutes apart. We were planning to have some friends over for dinner that evening, however I ended up canceling as I truly thought we were going to go into labor within the next 24 hours! When Jess got home we went on a very long walk to try to 'exercise' this baby out! Once we got home I rested while he got dinner ready - the contractions didn't stop, but they also didn't get more intense, which I was hoping they would get more intense so I could meet this lil one! Jess told me we couldn't have the baby until AFTER he gives me my first Mother's Day gift - I laughed and thought that was sweet and all, but it's not like we get much say in the matter! I also realized that my doc can deliver anytime EXCEPT the one day a year his wife won't allow is Mother's Day - so I began to get a little anxiety thinking "well, how I am going to do this..." and just had to give it to the Lord as He has it all planned out the way it should be. I didn't sleep great that night as the contractions were pretty intense and they were pretty close together - plus I was worrying if the baby would get tangled in the umbilical cord - yes, are you surprised that I would worry about such a thing?

We woke up a little later than planned Saturday - which made us a tad bit late for a breastfeeding class we were attending. I must give Jesse BIG props for going to this class with me, because it basically makes breasts no longer appeal to the male eye, but rather as a 'tool' now! I'm so thankful so many of our friends are going through this with us as it's a great support team for Jesse & all the guys for that matter. After the class we went to a "baby fair" which was fun - we've gone every year, but this year was most special as we were PREGO! We then ended the day at our dear friends house who just had a baby! It was quite incredible to see these two with their new lil Tyler :) He is adorable and we cannot wait for our lil one to meet him!
