7 Years Ago TODAY!...

Happy 7th Anniversary to my very best friend!

7 years in review...

Jesse & I met in 2000 in Santa Barbara, what seems like forever ago, but at the same times feels like just yesterday! Our first date was a wonderful lunch at a Thai restaurant (with my Mom & Grandma) and then a tennis match. I remember the exact feeling when Jesse came to pick me up. I was so excited just to get to know him better. He was different then all the other guys and honestly I wasn't looking for a 'relationship' - I was only wanting a friendship. I had been burned in the past and really had my guard up. He was so sweet and kind, and literally what you saw was what you get! That is what I LOVE MOST about Jesse, he doesn't put on a front like most stupid guys...he is who he is and you can take it or leave it. That is what sparked my interest. He had these two friends, which is actually how we met. They both had asked me out, but I was far from interested. I was totally turned off by their pompous attitudes and their 'ego'...but thankfully through them I met Jesse. We've had 7 AMAZING years. Starting off with us living in a 325 square foot apartment in Santa Barbara, we were both going to school full time and working full time. Our days with each other started at 11pm! We traveled ALL THE TIME on the weekends when we lived in SB because our place was too darn small to actually enjoy. We camped, we visited my wonderful family on the East Coast, we visited Jesse's grandparents in Las Vegas, we traveled to San Diego, Yosemite, San Francisco...we traveled pretty much every weekend! Then in June 2003 we moved to SLO so Jesse could finish his degree. We moved into an appt that was 700 square feet and man, we felt like we lived in a MANSION!!! It was 2x the size of our old place and we just didn't quite know what to do with ourselves! LOL! I remember the first time I took a shower and at our old place you could have a full on conversation with the other person while in the shower & the other in the kitchen...well, this wasn't the case in our "mansion" - we could no longer have our shower conversations! That actually made me sad. Of course I was stoked to have a bigger place, but those little things are what matter - at least to me. We got plugged into an amazing bible study where we met lifelong friends that we've all been able to have children and get to enjoy that next chapter in life together. June 2005 Jesse GRADUATED!! WOOOOO HOOOOO!!! October 2005 we moved to a bigger place (900 square feet!), still in SLO, with the intention to buy it, but then it ended up being a major scam. January 2006 we had our first child, our little kitty whom we named Sawyer. Now mind you, my hubby got me this while he KNOWINGLY was allergic to cats. What a selfLESS guy! We moved again August 2006 to Shell Beach to a fun little beach house literally steps from the water. September 2006 for my 25th bday Jesse got me my puppy - it was a rescue that one of our friends actually gave to us...and he has been with us ever since :) We moved to Shell Beach with the intention to be there a little while, but then the owner sprung on us in January 2007 that they needed to sell the place...which ended up being quite a blessing in disguise - we were able to buy our first house! We closed escrow on March 2, 2007 and just love the community we live in. August 2007 we had a WONDERFUL anniversary/babymoon celebration in Kauai, HI! It was the best vacation we have had since our trip back East in 2002. It was sooooo romantic and just the most theraputic vacation. September 2007 - WE'RE PREGO! June 4, 2008 - IT'S A BOY! July 16, 2008 - I'm OFFICIALLY an at-home MOMMY/WIFE - my dream job for as long as I can remember!! And here's to you my dear, my very best friend, my better half...HAPPY 7 Year Anniversary! Here's to many, many more fun times ahead!!! I love you more than words could ever express. It is also our little ones 2 month birthday TODAY...time just goes by way too quickly when you're having the TIME OF YOUR LIFE! You truly are my better half, you are strong where I am weak...you complete me. I love you.
