Valentine's day was fun filled with a few 1st birthday parties!

Jess had to work (total bummer!), but thankfully he finished up late afternoon and was able to come celebrate with us! Both parties were great and very creative! Ms. Addie had a Cupcake party - so adorable! She is the princess among all the boys in her life :) We were then off to SLO for Ms. Ella's CrAzY hAtS party! SLO was absolutely beautiful as we celebrated in our dear friends amazing backyard with all the kiddos; it was awesome. I was getting a bit leery of if the weather was going to cooperate and I was beyond HAPPY it did and it was just gorgeous! It was SO nice to be with the gang; it's so hard not seeing everyone on more than a weekly basis!!! We all had a blast wearing our fun hats, enjoying fab food and chopped conversation...those of you that have kids, totally understand! :)
I love how friends just know how to pick up the slack when you are playing "single Mommy" for a few hours...the hubbies fought over who got to hold and entertain Braden while I ate and got caught up with the other Mama's! We had such a great time, Braden was such a good boy and we were glad that Da-Da was able to make it for some of the fun! It's amazing how much you take your other 1/2 for granted and it's times like these where I really am playing "single mommy" that I SOOO appreciate all that my wonderful hubby does...he is such an involved hubby & involved Daddy and I am so blessed.
It makes me sad that Braden's first bday isn't that far off...I'm a planner, so my mind automatically has begun thinking about "what will his be like...", but I refuse to actually start planning it quite yet. I'm not ready for him to turn 1; I know, I know, each stage gets even more exciting...but, I just am not ready, not even a tiny bit.
