Sundays are our savored "family day" during tax season...our one day that is all to ourselves and I do not make a single plan! When we woke up this morning it was absolutely freezing (yes, back to layers...oh, I miss the hot sun!!!), so gardening was out of the question ~ we decided to pack up the car and take a mini road trip. Last year when I was prego (I was actually on bed rest at the time) - we celebrated the day after Tax Season with a trip to Shell Creek. Cell phones don't work out there so it was the perfect family day!
It is absolutely stunning and the wildflowers are just gorgeous. It was a bit surreal going there as the last time we were there I was prego with our sweet baby boy...and this year he enjoyed hanging out with the flowers and playing in the sand/dirt! Braden absolutely LOVED it!
