Week 20


Down for the count yet again with another stupid cold...today I'm feeling more 'lively', but still not truly myself :( I have been at home the past 2 days, but finally dragged myself into the office today. I'm just praying it passes quickly as we are leaving next week for our annual ski trip with our friends.

I had quite the 'mommy' moment today ~ I was calling to check in on a very dear friend of mine who's name is Karen...well, from the time I pulled her number up on my cell and pressed send I COMPLETELY FORGOT who it was I was calling!!! We just got new phones and I can't figure out how to 'light up' the screen to see who I'm talking to, etc...so needless to say, she answers the phone and I just am in tears of laughter (as is my girlfriend/co worker who's right next to me who knows what I've just done!) and so I tell the gal on the other end "I'm so sorry, I can't remember who it was that I called!!!" ~ then she's in tears of laughter, and the second she starts laughing I know exactly who it is and thankfully it was Karen as I'm not sure anyone else would've let it 'slide' so easily :) It truly was embarrassing, but at the same time I now know how my Mom felt many years ago with 3 little ones at home and having 'mommy' moments! Thanks Karen for the great laugh ~ I'm so thankful to have shared my 'spaciness' with you :) I love you! Still LOL as I write this a few hours later! xoxo
